In a previous lesson, I talked about how we can use a “result” to develop our ideas further. A very good and easy way to talk about the “result” of something is to use the word “this”.
Some examples:
The number of private vehicles on the street is increasing rapidly. This leads to serious air pollution.
More children are becoming addicted to video games. This would negatively affect their academic results.
When working for a company, young people have a chance to work with more experienced individuals. This allows them to learn new things.
In your next essays, try to use the word “this” to talk about a result.
